Cannonball 2007 ‘Big Bell Stone Series – Raven’ Eb Alto, Black Nickel #122k (Archived)

SOLD - Who doesn't love the look of black nickel, much less matte black? I will confess that this sax has a tone that lives up to the "big bell" name. There is a nice mid-core resonance that mellows out the tone from other modern textures. It still contains the modern punch with the clarity and the metal resonators help that too.
Comes with TWO Necks, silver one for more clarity and ring, the black matte one for a softer, mellow tone. The bell lip has some wear that I'll call attention to.
Model info from Cannonballmusic.com:
(A5-BICEB) Big Bell Stone Series Alto (Raven)
Iced Black-Nickel Body / Polished Black-Nickel Keys
CASE: - Yes. Original hard case in Ok shape (took some wear on the outside and latches). Fully functional.
Cosmetic Rating: 7.7
The sax arrived as a trade in on the original factory pads and play well enough that we only did minor tuneups to the sax. It's ready to be enjoyed! - PC Work Complete.

Conn 1932 ‘[Pan-Am] – Geo M. Bundy’ Eb Alto, Silver #47k (Archived)

SOLD - This is a sweet little alto that is a Conn Pan-Am sax with a few unique parts. It has a robust tone and is 50% vintage in the tone; the resos boost the treble/presence yet it is not as shrill as a modern student sax. Come quick!
Rebuilt elsewhere with MusicMedic pads and resos.

Plays excellent!
CASE: older Protec case in great condition!
Consider it an above-student sax, to intermediate level vintage sax. What an option. This is a bargain sax for the right person who is looking for this specific sax.

Jupiter ‘JTS-889SG’ Bb Tenor, #E20,xxx (Archived)

SOLD - A great sax in great condition! I like these as a great intermediate sax. Great Ergos, high F# key, nice original hard case. Made in Taiwan, #E0225x Model JTS-889.  Sterling silver neck! Currently in factory pads that come with slight-domed metal resonators. These have fast action and you'll love it over any student sax. They play a little louder with power and presence.
Cosmetic Rating: 9.0 -- Nice, minor tarnishing to note on the silver body.
CASE: Yes, the original hard case in "ok/good" condition. (There was a slight scent on arrival; it isn't something worthy of discarding the case so I will treat it with my deodorizers.)
All Student/Intermediate saxes come with, at least, a mouthpiece... and usually anything that came in the case with that sax.

Jupiter ‘Capital Edition, Model CES-760’ Eb Alto, #TF50,18x (Archived)

SOLD - Package deal - accessories in the case. I like these as a good "all round" starter sax (one of a few that meet this). Great Ergos, High F# key, silver neck, nice original hard case. Made in Taiwan, #TF50,18x Model CES-760. These models are newer to the market, my guess, since 2005 or so. This one looks like it was used for only 1-4 years.
PADS: in great original condition. I will likely be changing 1 pad, the other 3 potentials show "Medium" wear.
Cosmetic Rating: 9.0 -- Nice

Selmer ‘AS500’ Eb Alto, #AK04xxx, Like New (Archived)

SOLD - These are great for kids. The name brand, nickel plated keys (stronger), and easy ergos. I got this one and suspect it was a floor model or unsold inventory because it it "like new" condition. It would seem wrong to turn this beauty into a rental, so I hope had it off to your child who will keep it nice. Comes with original case, and a mouthpiece. I'll see if I can help with any other accessories too. From Conn-Selmer.com: "The Selmer AS500 provides a great addition to the array of student through professional model saxophones available from Selmer. Beginning musicians and their teachers will notice the many design features that ensure a comfortable playing position for young hands. Features such as the adjustable right hand thumb rest and the linear design of the left and right hand key sections will help students get off to a great start. Young performers will value the high F# key that extends the range of the saxophone to facilitate performance of advanced literature. Parents will appreciate the durability of the nickel-plated key mechanism and the addition of a support guide to protect the vulnerable right-hand trill key hinge rods from damage. The innovative change of lowering the octave key pin flush with the top of the neck receiver will protect it from damage, especially when students forget to use the end plug. These are just a few of the special design features that establish the Selmer AS500 Eb Alto Saxophone as a noteworthy addition to the Selmer family of high quality instruments.
Nickel-plated keys, a high F# key, left- and right-hand section-adjusting screws, an engraved bell, clear lacquer finish over brass, rocking table key mechanism with articulated C# adjusting screw, an adjustable right-hand thumb rest," Item #:WWS4.9E9.50.381-7-0

Grassi 1974 ‘Standard-Jade Series’ Eb Alto, #27k (Archived)

SOLD - A "diamond in the rough" alto! This little Grassi has a tone that blows us away in the shop. It reminds me a of the French tone that everyone is after. Not many people have ever played a Grassi, even more so, there is not a ton of information on these. These were "Made in Italy". This #27k is right on the cusp of the model change over into the Jade Roller series. I cannot say if this sax is a true transitional-era sax with the black rollers, or if they were changed out. But this one has a black G# touch. However, the octave thumbrest is that correct Jade coloring. There are 3-4 resolders, and dented C-post that I'll work on. The needle springs are working great. FINISH: Original Lacquer Body, Nickel Plated Keys. SOUND: Sweet, vintage, French-like. Current pad setup is a stock Selmer-style with plastic resos. It plays well enough to hear the sweet tone, but I think that you'd really fall in love with this sax with a fresh WWS Rebuild and pads chosen for your preferences. ***WWS Rebuild included at the listed price.*** Any one who actually knows what these horns offer will agree with the common statement: "These horns are highly undervalued, and offer you more for the money than many others in the same price range". Keilwerth ‘ST-90, Series 1’ Bb Tenor, #870,1xx

$879.00/On Hold(Keith) - Here's a great used, one-of-my-favorite, not-thrashed models! New in the last 10yrs-ish, serial #870,1xx, newer construction, gold lacquer throughout! No high F# but a great tone! This model has the real pearls, which makes it either the Series I or III(there's not a known dating to really know; I would guess Series 1) . I've seen some of these hold their own with some pro saxes just in the tone. These have very comfortable, modern keywork and should not hinder any student getting started. Comes with good case and mouthpiece.
Cosmetic condition rating: 8.5
Minor PC repairs needed - pending.
