Keilwerth 1959 ‘H&A Selmer-Bundy’ Eb Baritone, #35k

$1989.00 - General Description: a great Bb Bari, with good ergos, some past damage wounds, missing pants guard. A Great sax to PLAY without worry on collector issues)
A vintage 1958-60 original lacquer body with lacquer keys and the solid sheet keyguards and plastic pants guard(missing) (keilwerth indicators). Ser. #35K dates it to about 1959. Some dings/dents; I'll replace a few lost screws to the bell guards, also had bell-to-body brace dented in (we have fixed many of these, so the sax will recover, however some scars may remain). It has fresh tan pads with Seamless domed, metal Pisoni resonators.
SOUND: mid core bark and evenness; not completely resonant like a Buescher/Martin, but not as timid either.
CASE: It arrived in an old case in fair/poor shape; I expect to be looking into a New case. ($190-250, may affect price)

Buescher 1967 ‘Buescher 400’ Bb Tenor, #420k

$1899.00 - This is a nice 400 model made about a year after the Selmer takeover ser. # 420,xxx. The finish is original and to me, looks very handsome. It has the same body, neck with underslung octave mechanism and keywork as the famous older brother the "Top Hat" model, but with nickel plated keys. Buescher still made great 400's through the sixties, this one was made appx. 1967. It has a warm centered tone, but can be pushed hard with a metal mouthpiece. The Lacquer is original and about 85%, but the neck and the inside of the bell are nearly worn to bare brass. I plan burnish out a few dents and to do a complete Buescher style rebuild. These are some of the most undervalued horns on the vintage market. Ready to Go! (ask me about my available cases to pair with it)

Buescher 1948 ‘Aristocrat II – Big B’ Eb Alto, #325k (Archived)

SOLD - Here's the warmth and power combined! This is a very good player! 325xxx... no snaps (negative to a collector--does not hurt the playing) but great pads with plastic resos, Original finish (some might argue this by looking at the engraving. It is my opinion that the bell was worn with hands and re-buffed--see how the edges are still deeply cut; this verifies more original). CASE: TBD--I'll find a nice upgrade to go with it. This one will get fully tuned up to play even better, smoother, oiled and you're going to make your band-mates jealous!

Buescher 1977 ‘Bundy – Selmer USA’ Eb Baritone, Low Bb #690,xxx

RENTAL/Available - This bari is from the good 70s era, still in the student line but great sound for the price. Serial #690xxx. lacquer body, nickel keys. It's basically the end of the Buescher line design with the Selmer takeover logo so it has that big bell like the "Buescher 400". Baritones always get beat up. This beast got a lot of dings and dents (mostly in the bell and bottom) and I will do my best to make them only minor ones. There will be a few that I can't reach on the neck and one medium on on the SelmerBundy690k9.jpg (3435958 bytes)SelmerBundy690k8.jpg (3562744 bytes) backside. Comes with neck and hard case--case in fair-to-poor condition.
I might end up putting some duct-tape reinforcement on the case. sorry, no mpc. I hope to keep this at $900 but i will have to report back and adjust price as necessary after the tuneups.
