1955 Buescher ‘400 – “Top Hat & Cane”‘ Eb Alto

A beautiful, rare TH&C alto!

REBUILT: This beautiful sax was rebuilt by WWS in 2014 with Buescher snap-in, metal-backed pads and natural cork throughout. One of the reasons the silver is so nice is because it had a clear coat of lacquer over the silver (WWS Stripped it off during rebuild).

It was owned by a collector who had several saxes and mostly played tenor. It did get played over the years away from WWS, but overall, it looks very much like the sax that left. The only silver wear is up on the underside fo the neck, brass seen in photo. 

CASE: Original vintage Buescher case included. 

MOUTHPIECE: Comes with a vintage Buescher "Eb" [Emblem style] mouthpiece that has a large chamber design, it has a very closed tip near original settings (ask me for the measurement if needed; reface available as needed in the future also). These are aactually from the 1920s~ pairing but can be played on many saxes. It will offer a mellow, dark tone and play best with a harder reed on the smaller tip size.
