1922 Martin 'Handcraft', Gold Plate Alto Sax

Originally bought for "Chadd's Collection", yet, I'll build a listing post for this one just to admit having it! I went out and sought this sax out after playing a beautiful Martin Typewriter alto. The tone was so so rich and fat, round and room-filling that I had to have a Handcraft -- just one with rollers for the Player's benefit.

Serial #32k, and in gold plate with the more detailed engravings that come with gold plate options. It has some wear from use that has a vintage tastefulness to it. there is some past damage repair to the back tube: it looks like a hard knock happened to the Eb trill guard zone and the solder repairs are there too. Overall though, it repaired and rounded out enough. The metal is so tough on this era that the original dent whack and repairs would have taken some muscle!
