Serial #46k, Clean finish with uniquely silver plated keys(5min of polishing clothe would change the look, removing the tarnish!). Many models in the 1950/s60s era were getting nickel keys on pro horns and I suspect that was a way to help this one have that - I'm assuming it was originally a solid brass body and keys from factory. This model has the comfortable thumb rest too! The sax has blue needle springs in great shape.
This sax is listed from a WWS Client/collector. It was in our repair shop in mid-2020 with little playing time since (because "collector" has many horns to play with). We changed 5 pads at that time.
PADS: tan pads with plastic resos on the old ones; and newer(x5, 3 palm pads and F#1). I might recommend we look at a few to change (bis for cosmetics, low Bb &B(?) for function needs).
CASE: hard case, 1970s Yamaha style.
TONE: It will have the robust Martin tone with great Mid and Deep core projection. Not a bright tone!
It's a great sax for your budget, backup, pep(dare I say) and it will turn heads with the vintage tone.
Sound Files: ... none at this time, sorry....
