A WWS rebuild by the Master, and father of WWS, Sarge (RIP 2012). This Silver Restoration sax was setup with his favorite setup with Black roo pads and oversized, flat silver resotech resonators. It didn't get much playing time on the pads over the years.
This was a SILVER RESTORATION sax, with new silver plating added after metal work, and also new gold plating in the bell. The plating work would have been done by Anderson Silver plating and the engraving would have been re-engraved by master artisan Sherry Huntly. Serial number 195k.
I really want to keep this one for normal Martin reasons BUT also because of the sentimental, Sarge value. I also started my journey with Sarge by having a Martin, and he helped me get the prettier one, "Martina". Then I temporarily had a silver, "Silvalina".
CASE: This is TBD; but expect a basic case, or SKB wrap to come with it. I can also discuss a Protec upgrade if desired. (the owner and I would be planning the shipping needs & case upon a serious inquiry).
***NO TRIAL PERIOD*** Unfortunately, this sax is being sold at this attractive price to sell quickly; the owner's/family needs dictate this clause. Sax will be paid in full (to WWS) prior to it being shipped to WWS.
Sound Files for you to enjoy:
Rumor has is that this sax likely sounds like Sarge's killer Music Man Martin, featured in Track 1 with a similar pad setup!
