Nice, desirable "Soloist C*". Made of excellent hard rubber, these mouthpieces have the horseshoe chamber and offer a clean, warm, vintage tone that can do many genres - that's probably helped the demand go up.

TONE: Plays nice and has a good response. The tone is [more full and round] from this tip size compared with a common "Soloist" tone. It takes a step toward a jazz tone (think Meyer) without the treble cut to brighten up the tone.

INSPECTION ON ARRIVAL: It arrived with a tip at 080, normal facing length at 38mm. With no obvious signs of a reface, it's likely a really great reface, or a factory error in labeling. It has nice medium thin rails and can be inspected/repaired further if needed.
