Conn 1926 ‘New Wonder II – “Chu Berry”‘ Bb Tenor, Gold Plate Portrait #186k (Archived)
SOLD - The gold plating looks to be about 70% intact and the photos will help see her beauty. No need to talk this resume up - I'm sure you know how special these are. Highly sought after 1) GOLD 2) PORTRAIT model 3) "Chu Berry" Tenor. Overall condition is "very good". The pearls are not heavily worn either. Wear on the gold is present on the touch points as you'd expect; plus the thumb hook and palm holding zone across the bell front. I see 2 solders (both F-3 palm posts), and some mild repairs to the neck, as well as neck finish. The neck looks like it got 're-gold plate'. Please ask me how you would like me to address the gold finish throughout, as I can do some spot plating on the thinner areas (NOTE: we would want to do several areas if you chose to do this.) CASE: Original hard in moderate condition, due to age etc. REBUILD: Needed. I recommend our Vintage Standard Rebuild unless you want something with more of an upgrade to blow the doors down. Brilhart ‘Level-Air 10*’ Tenor, 1960s Ser# 8453 (WWS) – 0.110″ (Archived)
SOLD - A very rare #10*!!! with a 4-digit ser#: 8453, with horizontal machining mark on the table (prior to repairs) dates it to the early era of the 1960s.
It arrived with an unlevel table and tip, however, It was worked on here at WWS. Although it seems a bit low for a 10*, 0.110" is the current measurement. Prior to the work, the table had horizontal machine lines and you can see the small amount I left near the window. These are made of stainless steel and are extremely hard to work on; however at a #10* I knew I wanted to save it/improve it.
It plays big and robust - not for the beginner.
Now there is a bite pad installed over the very small indents on the bite pad.
At the time of this listing I do NOT have a ligature in the shop for this. But you are free to inquire; that fact may change.early 4-digit vintage series with side-to-side machining on the table (meaning: the early era of likely the 1960s).

Martin 1925 ‘Handcraft’ Bb Soprano, Gold Plate #51k (Archived)
SOLD - Serial #51k, Straight Bb soprano in rare gold plate (heavy tarnish but beautiful underneath!). It looks like it will be in excellent condition.
The first inspection says that it is in great shape with denting to the bell (from setting on the sax stands too hard). I will work on the bell lip - the good news is that the metal is thick and strong.
CASE: It arrived without a case, however, we can discuss acquiring a nice one included in the price.
Martin sopranos are some of Sarge's and my favorites! They are well-built in strong metal. Intonation is easy to enjoy and I'll test a few mouthpieces when possible.
Yamaha ‘YTS-475’ Bb Tenor, #C22k (Archived)

Vito ‘LeBlanc’ Bb Tenor, #220,241 (Archived)
SOLD - Cosmetic condition rating: 8.5 *** Plays great after tune ups! Nice hard case.
Selmer ‘”Soloist” – C**’ Tenor, 2010s Long Scroll Shank – 0.080″ (Archived)
SOLD - New era design is a copy of the vintage horseshoe chamber. The horseshoe chamber appears to be between the eras of the short shank and the long shank design -- splitting them 50/50 in width and height! I think there's some real hope in this one!!!
Used, in excellent condition.
Otto Link ‘”Tone Edge” #7’ Tenor, Rubber, 1990s – 0.102″ (Archived)
SOLD - Originally bought new in a large lot from the 1990s. Note, oddly enough, the ligature is a bit loose to be a good fit.
Medium Chamber - built for "classic Jazz".
[like new, in excellent condition.]
This is NOT like the new ones that are hit and miss. This is a quality Otto Link material and design.
