SOLD - A pretty, intermediate sax to excel a student or adult! The serial number "A" indicates that it was assembling in the US Michigan plant which was known for producing great quality.

SOLD - One of the sax world's favorite saxes - TH&C in original finish. #334k dates it to 1950. There's no need to sell this one. The report on this one is that due some bumps in the history, resolders and all, you can play this one with the intent to enjoy it.
King 1932 ‘Voll-True II’ Eb Alto, #145k (Archived)
SOLD - In a clean lacquer finish, it looks like a "first time lacquer" since lacquer wasn't all that common before 1934. Perhaps it is 1930s/40s due to the color. Pearl octave lever, backside G#, and double-G pad venting (early King style).
Buescher 1950 ‘Aristocrat II – Big B’ Eb Baritone, #333,25x (Archived)
SOLD - The Big Bs are famous for a BIG warm sound with rich low notes--resonant low end the fills the room, probably due to some help from the big bell flare. Mid-range gets a little thin but the low notes make up for it. These fit very well in jazz or concert bands. Intonation is pretty good all-round. Upgraded case.

Holton 1922 ‘Elkhorn’ Bb Tenor, Silver #11k
SOLD - A collector's joy - The Frank Holton Company operated in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, USA. The serial numbers on the Holton saxes can be misleading online. For dating, note the Eb/C touch design shape, the thick neckstrap ring, the split bell keys... This sax also features:

FINISH: Original silver plate, in excellent 90%+ condition
SOUND: Sweet, vintage, ... more to come here...
Original (near) 100 year old pads installed! WOW! They are the white leather with a stitch in the center (no rivets used yet). You can bet the tone is restricted, yet fit for the era. What a "collector piece". There is a vintage, musty smell than must be mentioned. I have yet to treat the case to help.
