SOLD - New era design is a copy of the vintage horseshoe chamber. The horseshoe chamber appears to be between the eras of the short shank and the long shank design -- splitting them 50/50 in width and height! I think there's some real hope in this one!!!
Used, in excellent condition.
Otto Link ‘”Tone Edge” #7’ Tenor, Rubber, 1990s – 0.102″ (Archived)
SOLD - Originally bought new in a large lot from the 1990s. Note, oddly enough, the ligature is a bit loose to be a good fit.
Medium Chamber - built for "classic Jazz".
[like new, in excellent condition.]
This is NOT like the new ones that are hit and miss. This is a quality Otto Link material and design.
Martin 1957 ‘The Martin Tenor’ Bb Tenor, #202k (Archived)
SOLD - Another great Martin here at WWS. It's a 75% Original Lacquer "The Martin Tenor" purchased from the 2nd owner. These are super hard to find and always in high demand. The serial numbers match on the Neck and Body #202k dates it to 1957, Martin's have a great tone that is quickly becoming very well respected in the market--clean tone, resonant low end!, even tone throughout, and better than average ergos for the vintage sax world. CASE: Original case was in rough-stinky shape... So I will be pairing this sax with a NEW PROTEC CASE ($142). It's getting our Vintage Standard Rebuild with large flat metal resonators (75% sizing, which is larger than Standard) and natural cork throughout. Item#:WWS12.0S0.251.5-C5-17
Buescher 1967 ‘400’ Bb Tenor #429k (Archived)
SOLD - This is a nice 400 model made about a year after the Selmer takeover ser. # 429,xxx. The finish is original and to me, looks very handsome. It has the same body, neck with underslung octave mechanism and keywork as the famous older brother the "Top Hat" model, but with nickel plated keys. Buescher still made great 400's through the sixties, this one was made appx. 1967. It has a warm centered tone, but can be pushed hard with a metal mouthpiece. The Lacquer is original and about 85%, but the neck and the inside of the bell are nearly worn to bare brass.
These are some of the most undervalued horns on the vintage market.
Ready to Go! (ask me about my available cases to pair with it)
Martin 1939 ‘Committee II- Lion & Crown’ Bb Tenor, #133k, ROSE GOLD (Archived)
SOLD - Rose Gold plated Committee II Tenor, lacquer coated body! From Sarge's Collection - the rarest of the rare... The story?!: It was built by the Martin Company for a top salesman... Sarge was the 3rd owner. Will you be the 4th? It's a 1939 Martin with Serial #133,585 on neck and body. Older pads that play and an old Martin Committee 2 case as well.
Conn 1929 ‘New Wonder II – “Chu Berry”‘ Bb Tenor, #236k (Archived)
SOLD - Budget-Gigger: Conn "Chu" Tenor! This will be a great gigging sax for the venues that you want a killer tone and don't want to bring your high-priced sax. This one will be a great player, and it will help you not freak out over ding and pings. It has some of those that will be forever 'beauty marks'. It is missing the rear key guard on the Eb trill key. The finish on this sax is lacquer, but it was a [no engraving] Conn. So it originally was likely a nickel-plate sax. Thus, this is the 1st time lacquered, or a relacquer.
CASE: newer Protec XL ($250!) in great condition.
REBUILD: Rebuilt elsewhere, it has brown kangaroo leather pads with domed nickel resos. They look like musicmedic pads - they have lots of life left.
I'll go through this sax and give it a full adjustment, because it needed this on arrival, and I'll make sure it's ready to turn heads.

Otto Link ‘Tone Master – 4<6*' Tenor, 1940s (RAC Reface) - 0.095" (Archived)
SOLD - From Sarge's Collection! - Full Package: Box, ligature and cap! Recently released to be listed "for sale" from Sarge's Collection. This mouthpiece has serial # M100 on it. It plays like butter. TONE: Huge tone/resonance, "vintage smoke", Dexter Gordon all day. Evenness and sultry. These mouthpieces are known for ....vintage greatness.
Keilwerth 1958 ‘Tone King’ Bb Tenor, w/ F#, Silver #32k (Archived)
SOLD - Rare. Stunning condition. Deluxe JK. A silver plate, professional Julius Keilwerth with high F# key, and G# trill, and the plastic guard in tact. If this is for the collector in you, I might even throw in a JK slimline mouthpiece to the sale of my baby. She is not perfect, as you can see the dreaded sax-stand scratches on the bell.
PADS: She was rebuild elsewhere with black roo pads and plastic resos. (The pads are far too new/nice for me to be unhappy with the setup that was choosen, so I will leave them. JK would have had domed-metal resos originally.)
CASE: Original "JK" emblemed, green case in excellent condition. It's super cool to see these with the case, but they are hard to trust for safety of the plastic guard.
