Brilhart ‘Tonalin 5 – Custom 8’ Tenor, 1946-51 Ser# 87942 (RAC reface) – 0.098″ (Archived)

SOLD - what a fun mouthpiece. Bob Carpenter refaced the tip to a 0.098". It has a long facing. I also had Bob patch a tooth groove. I have since installed a black foam tooth cushion. This has a much larger presence to the tone and a big sound. There are no cracks to mention. These have a medium chamber with shallow side walls. AND it is a 5-digit serial #87942 (higher demand, higher price). Everyone loves a #5 or higher number Tonalin. This one will be no exception. sorry, no ligature, just ask.

SOLD - with script in beautiful condition. FIVE DIGIT SERIAL NUMBER! This one plays really nice with decent focus for a Tonalin. I'm biased, but I love these. A good smooth Stan Getz type sound. Original Tip size at 0.085", no tooth grooves. no ligature. There are two crack evidences, all too common on these. I would recommend banding it but I will offer two prices.
