The Big Bs are famous for a BIG warm sound with rich & creamy low notes--resonant low end the fills the room, probably due to some help from the big bell flare. Mid-range gets a little thin but the low notes make up for it. These fit very well in jazz or concert bands. Intonation is pretty good all-round, C# is non-articulated, but my biggest complainant on the model is the lack of pants-guard on the backside. Beyond that, the Big B Baritones have a cult following who seek that fat warm sound.
CASE: A upgraded Protec ProPac ($$$). The case comes with the mouthpiece bag also. It is a note that it currently is missing a shoulder strap, and x1 zipper (1 of the 2 ) had the pull-tab break off the main sax zone. Otherwise, the case is very good condition.
PAD SETUP: A previous WWS Rebuild (by Chadd in 2011) with buescher snap-in pads & resos, and natural corks throughout. It was used by a high school girl --only about 4 years! -- and was in the rotation of instruments at the home. **Aka: this bari had much lower playing time hours than the 15+years in the chronological math! The pads sealed great to low Bb, and played with ease on arrival!
