1962 King Silversonic Tenor

The desired era of a nice King Silver Sonic tenor; It has a Serial number of 390k which dates it to 1962 and from the prime years of the CLEVELAND factory era. Solid Sterling silver bell and neck add that characteristic tone that is classic "King" tone. This sax was/is owned by a pro player here in the Pacific Northwest (Washington State area) for many years - it was in the collection/rotation of a player  - Why selling?: with age, it's just time to start thinning the herd. 

INSPECTION REPORT ITEMS: This sax has custom neck braces added on - by pro tech work - and it's likely they do something to the tone as well. Enhanced!?! The neck also has a pickup installed; it is functioning should you desire such. Although this can easily be a markdown feature, these are saving your pocketbook on this horn! Its fantastic tone and setup make you forget about the aforementioned items. There are 2 small dents by the lower pants guard - if you remind me, I can remove those quickly with ease. The inner bell gold overlay is mostly gone as photoed, and the D3 palm resolder is also photoed.

It's one of my favorite horns in the shop right now.

TONE: smokey, vintage, warm and responsive. 

PADS: Black roos pads with seamless metal domed resos. They are in pretty good shape and have some years of life left. (I have black roos in my personal tenor that were installed 15yrs (+?) ago.)

CASE: A 2000s era Protec case included. The zippers function, but one has lost its pull tab.
