1947 "The Martin Tenor"

Price: $2,599.00
  • Year:  1947
  • Make:  Martin
  • Model: "The Martin Tenor"/Committee 3

(On Consignment - Plays Great!)

A rare, original beauty with the dark lacquer on the body - the keys are relacquered with the lighter color visible. It has matching serial number on the neck and evidence of pings/dings on the back bow. The sax has a beautiful color and caused me to look really hard at the originality prior and you can see why I landed where I did.

CASE: Original Martin Case in functioning, yet worn condition.

PADS: Tan Prestini Pads with flat metal resos at 50% (a WWS "Vintage Standard" Rebuild).

Sax was Rebuild by WWS (Chadd) in 2012, and the sax has been with this owner ever since. It was played lovingly, and less over the years also with a rotation of other horns in the collection. (All this to say that the pads have a lot of life left!)
