SOLD - Looking for a great "player" sax? This may be it! It has been setup with Noyak resos for extra kick and the wear on the silver means that this sax played awesome for decades!
Selmer ‘”Soloist Style” – C*’ Alto, 1960/70s Long Scroll Shank (WWS Reface) – 0.068″ (Archived)
SOLD - Refaced by WWS! - Nice, desirable "Soloist C*". Made of excellent hard rubber, these mouthpieces have the horseshoe chamber and offer a clean, warm, vintage tone that can do many genres - that's probably helped the demand go up.
Keilwerth 1963 ‘The New King’ Bb Tenor, Black Nickel, #47k (Archived)
SOLD - SOUND FILE - Here is a very early example of black nickel plating! Wow - it is the oldest serial number of such finish that I've got my hands on and I really want to keep this one. It has rolled tone holes, the "JK" tube stamp, solid sheet guards, and the early era pearls (normal sized, not the huge JK ones we know know). Serial number #47k matches on the neck and body.
Selmer ‘AS500’ Eb Alto, #29,204-AK009AS (Archived)
SOLD - The name brand, nickel plated keys (stronger), and very easy ergos. This is probably my favorite newer student sax form Selmer. Has high F# too. It is scheduled to get several new pads, neck cork, and oils throughout.
Selmer ‘AS300 USA’ Eb Alto, #1,323k (Archived)
SOLD - A nice Selmer with firm spring action. Nickel keys are good for kids and these can be great starter or pep band saxes. Looks like it was used for the early years of band. Ready to Play!
Jupiter ‘CXL CAS-70’ Eb Alto, #M0132x (Archived)
SOLD - Another great student sax from Jupiter. High F# key, Rose Brass "RB" neck! These have fast action and you'll love it. They play a little warmer and darker due the neck. Won't last!
Jupiter ‘Capital Edition CES-770 II’ Bb Tenor, #UF01285(Archived)
SOLD - A great sax with 1-year warranty! - I looked at the serial number an read "UFO..."; It must be out of this world! Great Ergos, high F# key, nice new case. Made in Taiwan, These have fast action and you'll love it over most any student sax. The neck is original and silver with this model and is credited with a crisper, clearer presence in the tone.
Conn 1930 ‘New Wonder II – “Chu Berry”‘ Eb Alto, Gold #234k(Archived)
SOLD - Custom Rebuild with Brown Chocolate Kangaroo Pads, and Gold plated (over silver) custom over-oversized Resotech resos (Flat, with matte spun finish). ***THIS IS A LOUD ALTO SAX!*** Ser.# m234,xxx dates to 1930. Excellent condition "Chu" with nailfile G#, rolled tone holes, tuning neck, Goldwash bell, everything we love. Original gold plate and Satin gold highlights model, in very nice overall condition. Now, if you've never played a Chu, they are stunningly powerful altos...big fat sound top to bottom. Ergos are not that great, but I know a lot of players that play them in spite of the 20's design and would never switch to a Selmer. I will repad it, with a Conn-style, french standard repad. Pairing an original old Conn case to go with it.
