1946 "The Martin Alto" Alto

Here's a great Committee III Alto with some older, used pads that will be good for a while. It looks like 1990s age with plastic resos. There are some small dings and pings that I can work with and the bell lip edge is the worst of the damage to mention. Matching Serial # on the neck!

These have a nice core tone with some meat - American Jazz, and Art Pepper tone. They are great with many mouthpieces and have rather nice intonation and ergos under your fingers.

FINISH: relacquer - It looks like a factory relacquering because it is has a nice coloration matching some 1950s hue. It is good enough to trick many people.

CASE: YES, non-original hard case.

REPAIRS: This sax came in as a trade-in and it could benefit from some deeper, not-required repairs. I will list a few options here for your consideration that would add cost. I recommend considering a "Full Oils" treatment $140 (full disassembly, bath, and deeper look); also a pad change for low Eb(+$11). Simply put: for <$200 it could be greatly dialed in even more.
