The brother to the Model A (Paul Desmond on alto), the Model B is quite different. It is a slimmer design (pictures) and the chamber has flat sidewalls--not a round exit like the Model A. In tone, it is more focused with more reedy tone than the Model-A. Original tip measures 0.065". The beak continues to be very shallow, so no biting without protection. I found a substitute ligature to fit.
