King 1939 ‘Zephyr’ Eb Alto, Series II #216k (Archived)

SOLD - Original lacquer finish at 90%, Matching serial number 216k on the neck and body. This horn has a very nice, sweet tone.
It does have a few scratches shown in the photos. No known resolders to mention. You may notice the two different hues of lacquer (bell vs bow), and I have seen this before on Super 20s; I see this trait as fully original. (See my WWS Zephyr Special with the similar trait.)
I love Kings; and these models surely hold their own for those with an ear like mine.
CASE: Original case in great condition. (missing one corner of leather cap)
PADS: Rebuilt elsewhere with tan pads and plastic resos (vintage Selmer style).

Cannonball 2007 ‘Big Bell Stone Series – Raven’ Eb Alto, Black Nickel #122k (Archived)

SOLD - Who doesn't love the look of black nickel, much less matte black? I will confess that this sax has a tone that lives up to the "big bell" name. There is a nice mid-core resonance that mellows out the tone from other modern textures. It still contains the modern punch with the clarity and the metal resonators help that too.
Comes with TWO Necks, silver one for more clarity and ring, the black matte one for a softer, mellow tone. The bell lip has some wear that I'll call attention to.
Model info from Cannonballmusic.com:
(A5-BICEB) Big Bell Stone Series Alto (Raven)
Iced Black-Nickel Body / Polished Black-Nickel Keys
CASE: - Yes. Original hard case in Ok shape (took some wear on the outside and latches). Fully functional.
Cosmetic Rating: 7.7
The sax arrived as a trade in on the original factory pads and play well enough that we only did minor tuneups to the sax. It's ready to be enjoyed! - PC Work Complete.

Martin 1938 ‘Committee I – Skyline’ Eb Alto, #122k (Archived)

SOLD - Tone with a zip in it! Serial number 122,xxx on both the body and neck that dates it to approx 1938. Famous for Solid Nickel keywork, soldered on toneholes, heavy walled body, big warm tone. Comes with a vintage faux-alligator like case. There are no major dents just a few small ones that i will remove, when i do a complete "Vintage style" rebuild on her (included in the price)

Conn 1932 ‘[Pan-Am] – Geo M. Bundy’ Eb Alto, Silver #47k (Archived)

SOLD - This is a sweet little alto that is a Conn Pan-Am sax with a few unique parts. It has a robust tone and is 50% vintage in the tone; the resos boost the treble/presence yet it is not as shrill as a modern student sax. Come quick!
Rebuilt elsewhere with MusicMedic pads and resos.

Plays excellent!
CASE: older Protec case in great condition!
Consider it an above-student sax, to intermediate level vintage sax. What an option. This is a bargain sax for the right person who is looking for this specific sax.

Jupiter ‘JTS-889SG’ Bb Tenor, #E20,xxx (Archived)

SOLD - A great sax in great condition! I like these as a great intermediate sax. Great Ergos, high F# key, nice original hard case. Made in Taiwan, #E0225x Model JTS-889.  Sterling silver neck! Currently in factory pads that come with slight-domed metal resonators. These have fast action and you'll love it over any student sax. They play a little louder with power and presence.
Cosmetic Rating: 9.0 -- Nice, minor tarnishing to note on the silver body.
CASE: Yes, the original hard case in "ok/good" condition. (There was a slight scent on arrival; it isn't something worthy of discarding the case so I will treat it with my deodorizers.)
All Student/Intermediate saxes come with, at least, a mouthpiece... and usually anything that came in the case with that sax.

Morgan ‘Jazz 6M’ Alto, 1980s Vintage, Ser#19,759 – 0.073″ (Archived)

SOLD - A true, vintage Morgan mpc here. This is not the newer line of Morgans. (see the '6' over the 'M', and no "USA" on the body.) The sound is crisp and clear from from the Medium chamber and the #6 tip, which matches the intent of the current production models and this one is an elite mouthpiece in the case. More of the world should try a Morgan.
This model could also be labeled: Model "RMAJ"; "HR Jazz Alto".
Due the markings and the aging rubber, I will admit that I'm guessing, with mild research, that this is one of the earlier models. But hey, they're still making this one today, priced at $269.00.
TONE: Crisp, clear, yet warm. Ease in the response and a huge volume from this tip size.

Selmer 1987 ‘USA – TS100’ Bb Tenor, #826,5xx (Archived)

SOLD - One of the secret gems in the whole sax world! I have plans with this sax to be a great Pro Tenor for a player on a "budget". Let me explain: a Pro, Selmer, Tenor... for under $3000. That is a very hard thing to offer. I'll do my best to help you all out.
CASE: original hard case in good+ shape, hard wood rectangle style, added latch.
Serial #826,5xx, Original lacquer finish at 65%. It was worked on to 'ok playing' condition and I want to have you help make it your own. It had lost the pants guard & F# guard--I'll try to add a proper replacements. This sax also had some neck repairs done that are worth mentioning. I gave that some love and helped round out the tubing. I will also do more during the repair work.

Selmer 1954 ‘Super Balanced Action’ Eb Alto, #52k (Archived)

SOLD - Another superb alto sax. So first and foremost the lacquer on this sax is worth discussing. According to my expert opinion and microscope inspection I will say this: "Original lacquer, with wear and redness underneath what looks like another layer of clear coat. It was tricky to formulate this opinion." This sax was babied by the owner since about 1965 and I know they never did any finish modifications under their ownership (second owner). Serial number on the neck and body match.
PADS: Currently in newer pads that play well. Original domed, metal resos were reinstalled (according to the owner).
CASE: A non-original hard case. In good condition. It does fit the sax, but the end plug makes the sax fit differently due to the top block for the end. There is plenty of room in the case for the sax to be safe.
