Marked [105-2-SMS], this mouthpiece was enhanced by me. ***I made as much of a copy on the facing curve as I could to my personal 110-2-SMS, vintage rubber ($450) Berg. I have had serious thoughts about buying this from Bob to add as my 'backup' mouthpiece, God forbid should anything happen to my main one. With a nice Berg ligature.

SOLD - Bob's Collection: Marked [100-3-M], this mouthpiece was enhanced to play better by mouthpiece guru Bob Carpenter. Even some of the great Bergs don't leave the factory playing very well. The "3" baffle does limit the treble (darkest setting), and you'll notice that it still contains the medium-core tone of a Berg. With the original Berg box, ligature and cap.

SOLD - Ultra rare, side-stamped 9* tenor mouthpiece. It arrived with a 0.120" tip that had crooked rails and a poor tip seal. It also had a custom baffle that we took out. The tip and rails looked original, so I must conclude that it took a tough bump along the way. Otherwise, no other obvious damage to figure out that story. It is currently paired with a 1990s/00s ligature. This era is a great era of mouthpieces and now plays easy after the refacing work. TONE: Huge tone/resonance in the low end, a more medium tone in the middle and high ranges. This era is known for regaining the warmth as the baffle leveled/rounded out. SOLD - A collector's joy and diamond-in-the-rough alto! I am so tempted to keep this one for myself. It has trill keys, unique venting, neck tuning adjustment, and more! The Frank Holton Company operated in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, USA. The "RW" model is one of the more popular. This sax features:

Current pad setup on arrival was a rivet, no reso. The tone was restricted. It plays well enough to hear the sweet tone, but I think that you'd really fall in love with this sax with a fresh WWS Rebuild and pads chosen for your preferences.

SOLD - Package deal - accessories in the case. I like these as a good "all round" starter sax (one of a few that meet this). Great Ergos, High F# key, silver neck, nice original hard case. Made in Taiwan, #TF50,18x Model CES-760. These models are newer to the market, my guess, since 2005 or so. This one looks like it was used for only 1-4 years.
PADS: in great original condition. I will likely be changing 1 pad, the other 3 potentials show "Medium" wear.

Buescher ‘Whitehall’ Baritone, 1940s (WWS Reface) – 0.102″ (Archived)
SOLD - Custom Reface! + Large chamber! - A vintage hard rubber mouthpiece that is a copy of a vintage Buescher that I would approximate from the 1940s. This one had a large chamber and the original tip (needing some minor seal help) at 0.074" on arrival. Now it measures 0.102". it is an easy blower and has a big sound. It must be a unique blend because you seldom see a large chamber that remains with a high-rollover baffle. Large chamber & high baffle from custom reface. Item: WWSL4.7W6.12151.6-018
Vito 1965 ‘[Vito/Beaugnier, Transitional]’ Bb Tenor, #711A (Archived)
SOLD - Well better than a "starter sax" label, with vintage Vito/Beaugnier bones and strong metal! - Good for kids or someone who understands the quality build in that. The French lineage makes this sax a one of quality. Although the ergonomics are less friendly. It has heavy metal, strong metal, and good intonation. Rumor may have it that Vito was taking the parts from France, to assemble in Kenosha.
