GONE - Another pretty Mark VI. Unique rear engraving & Ser #167k, ORIGINAL FINISH at 92%, with 50% original pads. It is a "Euro" model with such engraving, however no high F#. Kept mostly in the closest by the current owner (his backup sax... yea, you heard that right!). It a gorgeous example that I know you'd be proud to call your own. Blue ink "S" in good condition, and serial number etched inside the neck which is typical for many Euro models (not outside). For such a pretty horn, there was area to mention: the rear body tube shows the scratches and wear in the middle, the metal thumbhook had been pushed into the body slightly, and there is wear below that near the serial number. Otherwise, the sax is very very clean.
CASE: The original case is in excellent condition also, inside and out. The latches are firm and strong.
PADS: Currently being listed and sold 'as is'. The upper stack pads (G and up, & palm keys) look like they have been changed in the last 15 years. The lower pads pads all look like factory originals. All pads have plastic resonators.
Tenor, Neck: Peter Ponzol, Gold Plate (Archived)
SOLD - A gold neck for Selmer Mark VI's (replacement or supplemental). It offers a clear tone and easy response. This neck has an outside diameter of 27.55mm (27.50-.59).
Recently released from Sarge's Collection. Sarge had it as an extra neck with one of his Selmers in the past. It does show some plating wear on the tenon edge. I would also recommend this get sized to your sax by a local tech when your sax body is present. It should also get a new pad and neck cork too.

SOLD -SOUND FILE - Professionally owned buy two pros - aka: handpicked by picky sax players. Lacquer at 65%; it also has high F#. No major damage to report - Opt.F# guard resolders, and perhaps an old resolder to the high E3 upper post. Other sax history: It was rebuilt in 2003 and had regular adjustments, then the sax did a small amount of playing from 2008-2015, some palm key pads changed in 2016, and then some recent repair work ($$$) Jan. 2018 for cleaning and necessities.

Martin 1960s ‘Imperial’ Bb Tenor, #305k (Archived)
SOLD - Here is a sleeper sax! - I love Martins and most knowledgeable people do too. This sax has the richness in the tone that Martins are known for. It's a lighter horn too! This makes it great for a student, or especially marching band or pep band (that's why I scouted this one). Cosmetic Rating: 7.3 -- some vintage wear and tear. CASE: Yes. TBD - I have to pair it with one. All Student/Intermediate saxes come with, at least, a mouthpiece... and usually anything that came in the case with that sax.
Brilhart ‘Level-Air 5’ Tenor, 1960s Ser# 10749 – 0.090″ (Archived)
SOLD - This mpc is a nice free blowing mpc with a tip measuring 0.090". Ser # 10749 There was a small tooth imprint that Bob C repaired. I may cover the bite pad with a clear bite tab--typically needed on these mouthpieces. It blows a big sound with heavy mid tones for a metal, cliff-style baffle.
Early vintage series with side-to-side machining on the table (meaning: the early era of likely the 1960s).
Comes with the original ligature and cap.
Selmer 1951 ‘Super Balanced Action’ Bb Tenor, #43,32x (Archived)
SOLD - A One-Owner horn that was bought IN Paris while on military travels - selected and "a special order one", according to grandpa. This horn was played to the respectful level; aka: often & with love. It was loved enough to be preserved through a relacquer as well (antique value aside). There is no need to talk about this sax's sound quality. It plays with a smoky tone as expected, with the warmth and clarity of an SBA. The finish is an 90% relacquer; most of the wear is on the neck. Serial #47,32x dates it to the beginning of the 1951 year.
PADS: They are are a mix of three eras: alright, old, and older. You are welcome to discuss tune-up work with WWS or opting for a complete rebuild.
CASE: a square Protec case in good condition.
Conn 1930 ‘New Wonder II – “Chu Berry”‘ Bb Tenor, Silver Art Deco #243k (Archived)
SOLD - A matte restoration sax: Overall, this sax is in good condition with high mileage as a player and unknown history. Here's one of the most in demand Conn Tenors with the Art Deco engraving. The silver is deceiving to the eye because it could fool many people; I noticed some very hidden marks that lead me to conclude that the silver was re-plated later. I have not verified whether or not this was silver to begin with. I am willing to discuss with you more about that under a more detailed inspection. (During the rebuild, I expect to find more clues.) Two resolders to mention, Eb trill guard and the low C guard. The only complicated fix for me to handle is the E-rod-brace (this is in the center of the E3 span). I'm happy to discuss options with you. I'll fix this sax up with a vintage rebuild and make it sing for the above price. ERGOS: Late-era Chu with the tilted E3 lever on the side (a plus!). Most people will find these "old" and "awkward", however, you'll find many Conn lovers who would never trade their Chu for a Selmer (tone preferences). SOUND: Expect a huge, robust Conn tone with the early "smoke" of a true vintage sax. CASE: Original, old, wood Case in good usable shape.
