Woodwind Co. ‘New York #5* ‘ Tenor, Rose Gold-Plated, Ser#X324 (reface)- 0.105″ (Archived)
SOLD - Here is another awesome, rare mouthpiece. heavy body brass design, ser# "X324". This mouthpiece blows really well and the tip is 0.105" (refaced by "a guy") and then improved seal by me. The bite plate is a replacement (black). I opted to buff off refacer's name because I would not want my name on it looking like that--plus, he doesn't get credit for my tight seal. Now with it so clean, I was tempted to plate it (since it's already slightly unoriginal)--now it's Rose Gold. These are often equated with Otto Links, however these have a small chamber. These are commonly seen and sought after in the #5 and #7 so this one is priced very nicely at:
...now 399.00 with pro reface(s), and non-original BG gold ligature but it needs help, and now Rose Gold Plated
Woodwind Co. ‘New York #5’ Tenor, Brass, Ser# X359 – 0.093″ (Archived)
SOLD - Here is another awesome, rare mouthpiece. heavy body brass design, ser# "X359". This mouthpiece blows really well and the tip is 0.093". On arrival it was a 0.092" but the table and tip seal needed my light touch. I wanted to keep this as true to the #5 as possible. These are often equated with Otto Links, however these have a smaller chamber. These are commonly seen and sought after in the #5 and #7 so this one is priced very nicely.
Woodwind Co. ‘New York “B6″‘ Tenor, (RAC reface) – 0.105” (Archived)
SOLD - Terrific material and good classic design. Smaller chamber makes for a focused vintage sound. Bob Carpenter just opened this one up to a easy blowing .105" with a 23mm facing length.
Woodwind Co. ‘New York “J5″‘ Tenor, (WWS Reface) – 0.098” (Archived)
SOLD - Large chamber makes for a big vintage sound. Now it has a 0.098" tip and I left some baffle material to help give it punch and treble/presence. Original facing "J5" marking.
