The end of the greats! - The last of the "5-digit" serial number range is a bit elusive for quality suggesting great saxes, from the same factory workers, with similar brass can be found in up into the #108k+ range. I fully expect the comp on this #106k sax to be great; it will hold it own among other Selmers ... all at a few $1000s less in price!

SPECS: The neck has the matching serial number and black logo ink -- both good marks. There are some past repairs to the body and resolders. These can be seen on the C1/Eb1 upper post, the Eb guard foot and C1 guard foot. There was some bow denting repair evident also (minor). There is also bell lip scar from past damage (repaired), and likely a schools added #s engraving below the serial number. There are a few minor dings on the tube as well. And we have added the missing center screw to the B/Bb bell guard. The sax could benefit from a general maintenance/tune-up/oils etc ($100-300, you may want to update 1-6 pads depending on your forecasted maintenance desires).

PADS:  Tan pads, nylon resos. A mix of eras, some may very old.

CASE: Currently in the original chesterfield tri-pack hard case with clarinet storage and flute case clip. The normal age is showing on the case with the common failures: the zipper pulls are missing, the leather edging has broken loose some; the zippers are functioning, but it is worth mentioning that the zipper structure may be breaking loose, which is worth managing or planning for a new case for daily use.
