Ser# 9,024,xxx. Intermediate Selmer from the recent years. Rare Silver plate in 97% condition. Model SAS-280RS. It arrived we'll played, yet still playing very strong. I was very impressed with the action and feel and I would say that this could keep up with some pro saxes! 1) it's a "selmer", with all the ergos and tone you're after. I would label the tone as "bold, focused, slightly brighter than Vintage tone, yet, very responsive and firm". The bell is "traditional-sized bell" for the clean, focused sound. (I found the bell curve to be very interesting--flares to the right). Comes with the original Selmer hard case/backpack-type with the "la voix" on it.
---We just finished a full disassembly, silver dip cleaning, chemical cleaning, and replaced the main palm key pads and Eb for longevity and easy maintenance! All shined up and helped her sing the doors down!

This sax is a super cool sax! I actually really like the tone. It must be reminiscent of my ol' Series II selmer.
