Gregory ‘Model B, 4A 18’ Tenor, 1940s(+/-) Ser# 6265 (Archived)

SOLD - Original tip measures 0.065". The brother to the Model A (Paul Desmond on alto), the Model B is quite different. It is a slimmer design (pictures) and the chamber has flat sidewalls--not a round exit like the Model A. In tone, it is more focused with more reedy tone than the Model-A. The beak continues to be very shallow, so no biting without protection. I found a substitute ligature to fit.

Selmer 1987 ‘USA – TS100’ Bb Tenor, #826,5xx (Archived)

SOLD - One of the secret gems in the whole sax world! I have plans with this sax to be a great Pro Tenor for a player on a "budget". Let me explain: a Pro, Selmer, Tenor... for under $3000. That is a very hard thing to offer. I'll do my best to help you all out.
CASE: original hard case in good+ shape, hard wood rectangle style, added latch.
Serial #826,5xx, Original lacquer finish at 65%. It was worked on to 'ok playing' condition and I want to have you help make it your own. It had lost the pants guard & F# guard--I'll try to add a proper replacements. This sax also had some neck repairs done that are worth mentioning. I gave that some love and helped round out the tubing. I will also do more during the repair work.

Conn 1931 ‘New Wonder II’ Eb Alto, Art Deco-custom #244k (Archived)

SOLD - Ser # 244,xxx, a 1931 model. Another Great "Chu" with Art Deco engraving, nailfile G#, rolled tone holes, tuning neck, everything we love. It has been very nicely relacquered and looks nice and vintage (see pics). I repaded it, with a Conn-style, standard repad (aka, a vintage rebuild). Sarge decided to send it off to Sherry Huntley and have it re-engraved to make this Deco-style bell really pop out (also secretly adding Silver on the engraving for blend/pop). Classic vintage Conn hard case included.

Buescher 1926 ‘True Tone’ Eb Alto, Series III, Silver, #205k (Archived)

SOLD - Serial #205k, the first good era with roller G#. In great condition, and a little tarnish to wipe off (it will shine great!). Silver is 90% intact, the bell is silver inside, not goldwash. Some wear inside the bell down to brass. I'm not sure if it was gold and was rubbed out over time--my gut says silver since the beginning. It has the earlier-era engraving, with a crisp "Buescher" on the bell. Neck is # "1". This model has a great tubby-warmth to the sound --Sigard Rascher made this one famous! They have a tone that is uniquely 'Buescher' for early vintage saxes--very woody--but intonation was not perfected well on these 1920s horns; having a proper mouthpiece will help! (A larger chamber will be recommended.) It has the original wood case in "Good/ok" shape. Currently we are treating the case with some anti-odor methods. Please check in with me on this topic. I believe we'll be able to make it work well for you. This sax was rebuilt with tan pads and plastic resos (no snaps present) by a very reputable Northwest WA sax repairman. The work was done 10yrs ago and the sax was barely played during that first year. It has been in its case since.

Selmer 1963 ‘Mark VI’ Bb Tenor, #108k (Archived)

SOLD - #108k, player/collector's delight, ORIGINAL lacquer 85%! Will need a full rebuild to be fully enjoyable, however, I will tune it up so that you can play test it on the old pads. There are signs of past dent work in the bell and bow, one noticeable dent on the front bow guard, evidence of minor pull-down that was repaired well.
SOUND: This sax has a great resemblance in sound to the early 5-digit selmers. NOTE: rumor has it that the great craftsmen of the late 50s were still working on the Mark VIs through about #110xxx. This means that you can have that 5-digit tone in a sax like this and save $1000-4000 off that early-era pricing.
CASE: used protec case(blue) in nice shape.
