SOLD - One of the last "good" Conn 6Ms: Serial #319k, with rolled tone holes, G# trill key and underslung octave. It has a recent repad from unnamed local shop where it looks like it was given tan prestini pads and flat metal resos with rivet (conn style) setup -- 2x pads are different with plastic resos (D1, bis).
Finish: Original Lacquer. Comes with original Conn Case is good shape.
TONE: Rich like a 6M. Great response!
CASE: Original conn wood case. in fair condition - functional. I will treat the case for 'old' odors.

SOLD - A huge, large chamber mouthpiece that has a design that reminds me of an Otto Link Master model (plus, the lig has a thick read plate too). It was originally silver plated, as you can see, and I've opted to leave the plating original for now. You are free to request some silver plating. Shank markings: "3 Rue Duperre" ... which may have been the place of manufacturing! ... it is currently an address in Paris that is about 2.5 miles NE of the Eiffel Tower.
Refaced by Expert refacer Bob Carpenter, and final finishing work precision done by Chadd here at WWS. It is a unusually neat mouthpiece. We were glad to save it.
A very easy blower, even with the tip size. It plays with a MEDIUM-warm tone quality, mostly dark with the ability to push it over the top.

Buffet 1967 ‘Super Dynaction (SDA)’ Eb Alto, #13,3xx (Archived)
SOLD - Original Lacquer at about 70%, this SDA was used by a true musician on USO tours. Buffet Super Dynaction saxes are French in design and smooth in action, and also heavy in build - built like tanks!
REBUILD: This sax will need/get a full rebuild, bath, and "acid+ treatment" - included! - to remove the small areas of green growth. It will come alive. I would recommend a WWS Standard Vintage Rebuild with tan pads and flat resos, but you are welcome to upgrade any component to your liking.
CASE: It has a saxpac molded case that needs thrown out; expect me to purchase and new Protec ($150-200) to pair this sax with.
Conn 1934 ‘6M’ Eb Alto, Silver #262,xxx (Archived)
SOLD - ***One of THE BEST 6M's I have ever played.*** Don't let the tarnish fool you. This sax is in excellent condition and is from the era that demands great respect, and the boost in value with the silver finish. This is one of the earliest 6Ms (early 1930s!) with the #262k dating it to 1934. This was before the "stamp VIII" models so you'll see the older "Chu" neck tuner, and the swivel thumb hook. There is not much to report; the sax is complete in the quality that you can inspect. The only negative is the neck tenon screw was replaced, and the tarnish.
PADS: older, used 1/2 way. They will last a while with regular tuneups. Plastic resonators.
CASE: used protec wrap case in "ok-good" condition.

King 1940 ‘Zephyr Special’ Eb Alto, #223k (Archived)
SOLD - Collector Alert!: Original Sax, with "Zephyr Special" mouthpiece, case, and endplug. Original lacquer finish at 95%, Full Pearls in great shape, triple neckstrap ring, and Silver Neck model! These are a transitional link between the Zephyr-Super 20 era (super 20s starting around #272K). Matching serial number 223k on the neck and body, I really like this model. These have many zephyr traits but also some traits that are unique to only the Special model. This ser# is early in the production run and, thus, it has all 5 keys engraved with the [starburst] on this model (affecting the keys only). I've seen some with all 5 low keys, some with 4, some 3.
I love Kings; and these models surely hold their own for those with a good ear.
CASE: Original case in great condition. (missing one corner of leather cap)
PADS: Rebuild elsewhere with tan pads and plastic resos (vintage Selmer style).
Jupiter ‘JAS-869SG’ Eb Alto, #H01,7xx (Archived)
SOLD - I like these as a great intermediate sax. Great Ergos, high F# key, nice original hard case. Made in Taiwan, Model JAS-869SG. Sterling silver neck! Currently in factory pads that come with slight-domed metal resonators. These have fast action and you'll love it over any student sax. They play a little louder with power and presence - from the extra rich from the silver neck.
Cosmetic Rating: 8.8 -- Quite nice - minor tarnishing to note on the silver body, but I'll clean it up a lot!
CASE: a yamaha hard case in ok/good functioning.

Keilwerth 1964 ‘[Tone King] – Selmer MAJOR’ Eb Alto, #51k (Archived)
SOLD - A pro sax that is hidden by the other popular name on the bell. But the key guard design, and the plastic pants guard, serial stamping, and keywork will label it as a full-blooded Julius Keilwerth sax. All JK Stencils has the high-quality metal from JK. And to my knowledge, there is no bad-JK-stencil. The original finish is in good shape overall; the photos show the wear. This is the TONE KING model design, and the early era with Rolled Tone Holes.
SOUND: These are still in the "vintage" category for tone, but actually these JKs carry more brightness and treble that I want to expect or admit. They are not like their Tenor brothers who are meaty and dark.) The altos have 'spunk' in the tone; 'kick' you might say.
REBUILD: I'd like to sell this with a full rebuild, and set it up to your specifications because it is playing on the original pad setup and it beginning to show age beyond what will be enjoyable. Let's discuss what you'd like; otherwise, I can put the JK Standard setup on it: seamless-domed, nickel resonators, on tan pads.
CASE: original case in pretty worn condition. I haven't given up saving it for use; but I am leaving the option to upgrade the case to a new one (the price would jump up also, at cost). Protec XL model recommended.
