Selmer 2000s ‘La Voix II’ Eb Alto, Silver Plate, #9,024k (Archived)

$SOLD - Ser# 9,024,xxx. Intermediate Selmer from the recent years. Rare Silver plate in 97% condition. Model SAS-280RS. It arrived we'll played, yet still playing very strong. I was very impressed with the action and feel and I would say that this could keep up with some pro saxes! 1) it's a "selmer", with all the ergos and tone you're after. I would label the tone as "bold, focused, slightly brighter than Vintage tone, yet, very responsive and firm". The bell is "traditional-sized bell" for the clean, focused sound. (I found the bell curve to be very interesting--flares to the right). Comes with the original Selmer hard case/backpack-type with the "la voix" on it.
---We just finished a full disassembly, silver dip cleaning, chemical cleaning, and replaced the main palm key pads and Eb for longevity and easy maintenance! All shined up and helped her sing the doors down!
Cosmetic Rating: 9.0
This sax is a super cool sax! I actually really like the tone. It must be reminiscent of my ol' Series II selmer.

Dents are not too bad for baritone. I will do my best to make a few of the them disappear and help the cosmetic look. CASE: Arrived with a nice hard, wood case.

Buescher 1977 ‘Bundy – Selmer USA’ Eb Baritone, Low Bb #690,xxx

RENTAL/Available - This bari is from the good 70s era, still in the student line but great sound for the price. Serial #690xxx. lacquer body, nickel keys. It's basically the end of the Buescher line design with the Selmer takeover logo so it has that big bell like the "Buescher 400". Baritones always get beat up. This beast got a lot of dings and dents (mostly in the bell and bottom) and I will do my best to make them only minor ones. There will be a few that I can't reach on the neck and one medium on on the SelmerBundy690k9.jpg (3435958 bytes)SelmerBundy690k8.jpg (3562744 bytes) backside. Comes with neck and hard case--case in fair-to-poor condition.
I might end up putting some duct-tape reinforcement on the case. sorry, no mpc. I hope to keep this at $900 but i will have to report back and adjust price as necessary after the tuneups.
